We’ll look at how to delete categories in WordPress in this tutorial.
The steps to remove categories in WordPress are as follows.
Step (1) − Click on Posts → Categories in WordPress.
Step (2) − You can delete Category1 (Category1 was created in the post WordPress – Add Category).When the cursor is hovered over a Category, a menu of options appears below the Category name. As indicated in the following screen, click the Delete button.
When you click remove, a pop-up window will appear, asking for consent to delete the selected category, as shown in the screenshot below.
You can delete the category permanently by clicking the OK button.
